Reception: Weekly round up!

Thank you Reception for working so hard again this week.
We have been excited at the arrival of our class caterpillars, who are already growing bigger! We have made the life cycle of the butterfly using pasta shapes🐛🦋 and have painted symmetrical butterflies.
We had fun in Welly Wednesday, walking barefoot on the grass and talking about being calm.
We have measured our sunflowers to see how tall they have grown. We have sent them home for you to look after, so please keep watering them and put them in a sunny spot! We also made clay sunflowers to remind us to always think happy thoughts. 🌻🌻🌻
Today we read the story of the Colour Monster. We talked about what makes us happy. We made our own Colour Monsters too. We also made a class happiness jar. We have filled it with all the things that make us happy. 😀😀😀
Next week, we will continue to look at caterpillars and butterflies. We will be looking at the foods the Hungry Caterpillar ate and which are healthy or not!!
We are really looking forward to visiting some different prayer stations in our hall, as part of Prayer Week in St Mary’s. 🙏
We will be learning about Time in maths and sequencing our daily routine as well as telling the time on a clock.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. Keep smiling and being happy like the yellow colour Monster in our story!!
