This week we have moved onto our new letter ‘a’ and which of our friend’s names in school begin with this sound. We had a think about what other words we know and thought of apple, ant and astronaught!
We have learnt a rhyme to remember how to write number 2 and had fun practicing this on the interactive whiteboard.
We were eager to check if our bulbs are growing in our forest school and it was great to see a couple of shoots – we made sure we watered them and can’t wait to check again next week!
We have been matching the correct amount of fingerprints to numbers on caterpillars, and have had lots of fun feeding ‘the very hungry caterpillar’, playing with the zoo animals in our small world area, building amazing towers and tracks in our construction area, drawing fantastic art on our outdoor chalk board and then washing it off with paint brushes.
Next week we are hoping to play on the trikes (weather permitting!)🌞, will be practicing writing letter a and number 2 and will be playing games and doing jigsaws to develop our problem solving skills.
Have lovely weekend
