Year 6: Weekly round up

A lovely week in Year 6, exploring the final parts of our ‘Ein Byd’ topic. This week, we have looked closely into food webs and adaptations in animals. They have started to write their ‘raps’ on adaptations, to be performed next week.

Last week, Year 6 were surprised with a tree ornament and advent box on their desks to help decorate their classroom for Christmas.

We had another visit from Canon Pam for the class to receive Eucharist. Beautiful readings, prayers, and songs were shared during the session.

Google Classroom: On Thursday, Year 6 brought in all their wonderful and inventive designs for repurposing old objects. We were amazed by the effort and creativity that had gone into them. Photos have been uploaded to Google Classroom into 2 folders.

Next week: It is nearly time for the Year 5&6 Christmas concert! We have a dress rehearsal on Monday afternoon before the concerts on Tuesday at 1:30pm and 6:30pm. Please ensure that full costumes are in on Monday morning at the latest.

Maths homework has been sent home on Thursday this week, ready to return on Thursday the 14th of December. Reading books are also due next Thursday.

Pantomime: We are very excited for our visit to the Stiwt on Friday the 15th. Pupils are to wear their school uniform, and their snack and drink can be brought with them to eat there.
