Year 5: Week beginning 2 October

I am very proud of Year 5’s performance of our poem in Church – well done! Luckily, the sun has been out today, so we have been measuring  shadows every hour.  This afternoon,  we have been busy researching how we have seasons and will use this to write an explanation next week.  After we have finished this, I am hoping that our Mars Rover will give us another challenge.  In Maths, we will be using our frog method to subtract. For R.E. we will be finding out about St. Asaph Cathedral.  On Thursday, we will be having a show by Mewn Cymeriad about Welsh people moving to Patagonia.  P.E. will be on Wednesday and Thursday as usual.
Our homework from last week – producing a poster about the Dark Sky Reserve at the Brecon Beacons is due in on Tuesday.  It can be handwritten or typed.  Also, I have sent home a sheet for pupils to observe the changes to the moon for just over a month.  Reading books are also due in on Tuesday too.
Have a lovely weekend,
Mrs Hodkinson, Mrs McCaffrey and Mrs Cheetham.
