Year 5: Week beginning 19 June

We have had a great week this week – playing Botcha, going to the Cricket Festival and reading ‘Song of the Dolphin Boy’.  We all want to know what will happen next!
Next week, our focus in Maths is using a protractor to measure angles.  We will be designing and making a flood barrier to protect a house.  We will be finding out why Tryweryn was flooded and holding a debate to discuss if this was the right thing to do.  We will create a ‘voice over’ for the book ‘Flood’.  Also, we will be using atlases to find out about rivers around the world.  P.E. on Tuesday (Kinball) and Wednesday next week.  Our homework this week is on Google Classroom and is a photography task.  Pupils will need to watch the video first.  It is due in on Tuesday along with reading books.
Have a lovely weekend,
Mrs Hodkinson
