Year 6: Weekly roundup

We have had a good start to the Summer Term. We finished our Cymru topic and have begun our topic ‘Rhyfel a Heddwch.’ We enjoyed our topic launch, with a trip to Wrexham Museum. We have written letters as evacuees and set up our challenge areas.
As this week is Bible story week, we have listened to the story of King David today. We made backdrops and characters and recreated the story using Stop Motion animation.
Homework this week is a reading comprehension which has been sent home today on paper. This needs to be completed and returned by next Thursday please.

Next week

On Monday, we will be having a visit from the Youth Worker team. This will be a useful and enjoyable session where we can learn more about the move to Secondary School and talk about the things we are excited, or even perhaps worried about.
We will be investigating the causes of World War II and writing an explanation.

In Maths we will continue to work with shapes, calculating missing angles in quadrilaterals and triangles.

PE will be on Tuesday and Thursday.
On Friday, we will be having another visit from PC Hulley.
Leavers’ hoodies – Just a reminder that the last day for orders is this Sunday, 23rd April. Please refer to the email sent before Easter for more details.

Have a lovely weekend all!
