Year 6: Weekly roundup/Our final week

We came to the end of our ‘Rhyfel a Heddwch’ topic this week and finished reading ‘Letters from the Lighthouse.’ We also enjoyed launching ‘St Lucia,’ wearing colours of the flag, making and eating banana boats and playing some cricket. We have also been writing reports about St Lucia and comparing it to Wales.

Our final week
We can’t believe that we have reached our final week! We have a fun-filled week planned. We will create posters to advertise fair trade products and reflect lots on our time here at St Mary’s.
Plastic bags – please could all pupils bring in a plastic bag/bag for life on Monday or Tuesday, ready to bring things home. Diolch.
Leaver’s Service and Bowling
On Wednesday, we will have our Leaver’s Service. We have been rehearsing lots and are looking forward to sharing this special occasion. The doors will be open from 1:15pm (bottom of the steps, near Hall) and the service will begin at 1:30pm. Parents and friends are welcome to stay afterwards for a drink and chat.
We will then be going bowling straight from school. Parents are to collect children from the top car park at school at 6:30pm please. Diolch.
On Thursday will be ‘Break the rules day,’ for the Friends of St Mary’s. Please refer to previously sent information. It will also be the last day of term and time to say goodbye to our wonderful Year 6s.
Have a lovely weekend!
