Year 6: Weekly roundup/Next week

Year 6 pupils have worked hard again this week. They have written some beautiful poetry about lighthouses and some very persuasive letters to the Ministry of Defence.
We enjoyed playing the ‘Bip’ game earlier this week, which allowed us to revise our French numbers and our times tables.
The kinball session we had on Tuesday was fun and we had a very competitive game of rounders on Thursday! Our glass workshop on Wednesday was a real highlight. It was a very calming and creative activity.

It would be very helpful to have a photo of each child in Year 6, either on their first day of school or from around age 3/4. This will be used in our leaver’s service. Photos can be uploaded to our google classroom or brought in by pupils next week. Many thanks in advance for you support.

Next week
Next week is Prayer Week and Transition Week too! Monday will be the only day that we are all together as a class all day. We will be visiting the prayer stations on Monday and having a visit from PC Hulley too.

Please refer to the transition information that you have already been sent by your secondary schools regarding days, times and details for transition. I look forward to hearing all about the pupils’ experiences next week. I am sure that everyone will really enjoy themselves and it will help to ease any worries about September.
