Year 6: Weekly roundup

What an enjoyable week, topped off with our class disco treat. Blwyddyn 6 have produced some fantastic writing this week, writing diary entries inspired by ‘Letters from the Lighthouse’ – da iawn pawb. We also enjoyed another visit from Mrs Wright-Davies yesterday, helping to prepare us for our move to secondary school.
#HealthyConfidentIndividuals
Next week
We will be recapping French numbers and using these to play a magic square and magic triangle game. In Welsh, we will be continuing with our conversations, moving on to writing.
#AmbitiousCapableLearners
We will explore further methods of division in Maths and investigate to find patterns. Our writing focus will be to change perspective, writing from the perspective of a different character to the narrator.
How to Ace Sports Day - Price & Buckland
Sports Day will be from 1pm on Wednesday, up on the school field – let’s pray from some lovely weather! Pupils will need PE kit on Tuesday as normal, but then on Wednesday for Sports Day please. Diolch.
Homework
This week’s homework is a little different. Pupils have brought home a sheet of ‘Pupil Power’ activities, based on our topic. They are to choose just one for this week please and return it by next Thursday.
Have a lovely weekend all – I’m sure you will sleep well tonight after all that dancing Blwyddyn 6!
