Year 6: Weekly Roundup

A wet but wonderful week in year 6!
Lots of creative tasks this week! On Monday we explored applying shading into spaces to create varied tone and contrast. To follow, year 6 have been busy making their Christmas cards using soft pastels. It was messy but you’ll be able to see that it was worth it.
Topic and literacy – our main focus for the week has been exploring where our rubbish ends up. As a class, we are now well-informed and have considered how to make better decisions with our household waste. We had another exciting session of challenges where pupils independently chose which activity to do. In their challenges, they are starting to take responsibility for their own learning, which is wonderful to watch.
Reminder: It is our final swimming session next week where I believe some games will be part of the session so don’t forget your kits! Also, homework is due no later than Thursday. Diolch.
I hope you all enjoy a cosy weekend, listening to the raindrops.
See you Monday!
