We took a virtual trip to St Lucia today! The pupils looked great in the colours of the St Lucia flag and we enjoyed some Caribbean music in class. We did some map work, locating St Lucia and the surroundings. We found out about physical and human features, the currency they use, the climate and lots more!
We found out that the most popular sport there is cricket, so we had a little game ourselves! We also found out that the major exports of St Lucia are bananas and cacoa, used to make chocolate, so we made banana boats – the pupils said they were delicious!
We will complete reports about St Lucia and explore issues of fair trade.
