Year 6: last week

It was a frosty week at St Mary’s last week, but that didn’t stop our learning!

Maths – Last week we were exploring Area, Perimeter, and Volume. On Monday, Year 6 hunted the classroom with their rulers to measure the area and perimeter of various shapes.

On Tuesday, Year 6 were very lucky to have members of Senedd Cymru visit to talk about what the Senedd does and how Year 6 can use their voices to change the world.

Throughout the week, we had multiple Themau lessons exploring our new topic ‘Symud’. We explored how to weigh objects using Newton meters and found out how much they would weigh on the moon. It was a very practical and full-on week.
