Year 3 enjoyed their practical maths lesson this afternoon. The focus was on fractions with pupils drawing shapes to show a half, quarter, etc and they also shaded shapes to show a given fraction. After this one group played fractions dominoes whilst the other showed a fraction using the multi link cubes.
This afternoon they did coding using the microbits. Using the chrome books they gave it a series of simple instructions to create a name label for them. Then, once they plugged it in, their names appeared on the microbit.
