Year 4: Weekly update

We had a lovely Dydd Gwyl Dewi Sant celebration this morning. Everyone sang and danced beautifully.

Blwyddyn 4 have also loved being news reporters this week. Their flip videos reporting on the Spanish Armada are excellent and the news room backgrounds that they have picked make the videos look like they are straight from the BBC studio. Da iawn, your digital skills are excellent.

Next week we will be finishing our work on Alice in Wonderland. We will then move on to Fables. We will read some fables and talk about the morals in each one. In humanities we will be learning about the lives of rich and poor Tudors, we will be writing a non chronological report about the differences between rich and poor people’s lives in Tudor times.

In technology we will begin our work on photograph frames. We will share the mood boards that you all completed over half term and discuss what makes a good free standing photograph frame. Pupils will then start to measure and cut the wood for their frames

PE will be outside on Monday and swimming on Thursday.

PC Hulley is visiting us on Monday morning. She will do a whole school assembly and then will spend some time in class with us talking about internet safety.

Homework- in preparation for our work on rich and poor Tudors lifestyles please spend a little bit of time carrying out your own research. You could find out about clothes, jobs, houses or leisure activities. Write down any facts that you find or alternatively add them to the assignment on Google Classroom.

Have a lovely weekend,

Mrs Williams, Mrs Burgess and Mrs Probin
