Year 2: Weekly Overview

This week the children have been brilliant as usual! They have started to design their own castles thinking about the features we have been learning about. In science and technology, we have started to look at materials and what their uses are. There are lots of materials all around us everyday! In maths we have started to look at time. We have looked at days of the week and months of the year. Today we started to look at o’clock. We will continue to look at time next week.
Yesterday we celebrated Values Day and learnt about honesty. We had lots of discussions about being honest and why some people might lie.
Next week, we will be having a visit off PC Hulley. We will be researching and creating fact files about Welsh castles. We will also be designing and making our own catapults.
We would just like to say a huge thank you for all of your donations for the food bank they are gratefully appreciated, and we are in contact with the Foodbank to arrange a suitable date for the donations to be handed over.
Please remember Muddy Monday on Monday so wear your old clothes and bring your wellies. Also, please bring your book bags in on Monday.
Have a lovely weekend!
