Year 4: Weekly update

Blwyddyn 4 have been absolute superstars this week. They have worked extremely hard.

Next week

Chester Zoo- The weather is looking promising for next week but please make sure that pupils have a coat just in case. If it is hot then please apply sun cream in the morning and send a hat in. All pupils will need a packed lunch and this must be in a rucksack that they can carry with them for the day. If pupils would like to wear trainers then they are more than welcome as there will be a lot of walking however full school uniform must be worn.

We will continue to read Charlotte’s web and we have one final exposition to write based on our visit to the zoo on Tuesday. We will also be thinking about conservation and learning about the work of Nation Parks and their work on conservation here in the UK and in other countries. We will carry on with our work on animation and will have a go at adding music to an animation. In science we will be considering how animals are adapted to their habitats. In maths we will continue with our work on multiplication before moving on to division.

PE will return to the normal days next week. It will be outdoor with Mrs Hughes on Monday and swimming with Mrs Williams on Thursday.

Homework this week is reading books and a maths sheet to practise column multiplication. You can also log onto Hwb at any time you like and have a go at Times Tables Blast if you would like to.

We have enjoyed learning about our value of Honesty this week. Our theme for worship next week is perseverance.

Have a lovely weekend everyone.

Mrs Williams, Mrs Hughes and Mrs Probin
