Year 2: Weekly Overview

This week has been lots of fun celebrating the Coronation. We started off the week by making flags and choosing how to decorate them. We have followed instructions to make our own salt dough crowns which we will be bringing home next week. In literacy, we have made posters to raise awareness of foodbanks and as you can see from the earlier website update they did an amazing job of them! We have also sketched our own Welsh castles and painted them using watercolours in the style of Gwynfor Roberts.
Today we enjoyed our celebrations and yummy cakes! We then used Jamboard to complete the task ‘If I were a king, I rule I would make would be….. There were lots of interesting responses!
Next week, we will be designing our own castles thinking of all the safety features we have been learning about. We will also be looking at materials and their uses. We will be celebrating Values Day and our value of honesty.
Have a lovely weekend
