Reception: Weekly round up!

We have a had another wonderful time in Reception this week. We have been busy thinking about our mums and why we love them. There are some special surprises in children’s homework bags!
We have also looked at animals and their babies and have done some beautiful paintings of them.
Here are the words for a song we have learnt especially for our Mums ( we sing it to the tune of ‘You are my Sunshine’).  See if your child can sing it to you!
I love you Mummy,  My lovely Mummy,  You make me happy every day,  I want to tell you,  How much I Love you,  Lots of love of Mothers Day!🥰
We have been super excited at the arrival of some frog spawn into our class and we are watching it carefully every day to see it changing.
Next week, we will be learning all about the frog life cycle and new life in the Spring time.
I have sent home a note in reading bags, to ask if children would like to bring a photo of a pet, or a drawing of a pet in to show us. Don’t worry if you don’t have pet at home, you can draw your ideal pet!
We hope you all have a lovely weekend and can’t wait for more fun on Monday!  Mrs Phoenix, Mrs. Broadhurst, Mrs. Probin, Miss Maymond and Mr. Hall
