The countdown to Christmas has definitely begun! We have been learning about the Christmas story and have used puppets to help us. We are enjoying our class Advent calendar and learning through play in the different areas that have been set up. We have: helped to decorate the beautiful Christmas tree in the foyer; have pretend Christmas presents under our class tree that we can give to our friends; a class nativity scene; an outdoor roleplay toyshop; festive coloured pompoms to count out and match to the correct number; Christmas stories in the book nook; a Christmas tree that we can deorate with ‘loose parts’ and Christmas baubles to scoop up and weigh🎄🎁.
We had so much fun watching Jack and the Beanstalk in school and we loved our treats – thank you so much to Friends of St Mary’s for funding this.
We have a very busy concert week next week and are excited to be having a fun-filled last few days of term.
