Year 6: Weekly roundup

Another fantastic week! Year 6 spent a lot of time carefully planning their science investigation. They investigated which material would be most suitable for a child’s cup for a hot drink. We found that polystyrene had a low external temperature and would be most suitable for a child to hold.

This week, the homework has been set to continue on from their previous two pieces. Year 6 have been sent home with their final design planning sheet to follow closely as their design is due on the 7th of December. Please make sure the design is followed and do not make something entirely different to the final design. If anyone would like to bring in their final piece before the 7th of December then please do! With there being 2 weeks to produce this product, we are looking forward to seeing some high-quality pieces. Very exciting! Please try not to buy materials for the homework as the aim is to reuse/repurpose old objects/materials.
We have been counting down the days until our trip on Tuesday to Danger Point. Don’t forget, school uniform must be worn, and you are welcome to bring a packed lunch and snack.
See you all Monday!
