Year 5: Week beginning 16 October

We have learnt a lot about the moon this week, including why it looks like it changes shape.  On NASA’s website, we looked at the surface of the moon which gave us some very surprising facts.  We wrote a biography for Chris Hadfield.  Next week, we will each choose an individual who has had an impact on space travel and write a biography on them.  We will be researching NASA technology which we use in our homes.  Also, we will write a moon poem, using similes and metaphors.  Our Maths focus will be recognising the value of decimals and multiplying and dividing decimals by 10 and 100.  On Thursday, we will go on a visit to our Church to look for Christian symbols.  P.E. will be on Wednesday and Thursday as usual.  Reading books and homework (maths sheet) are due in on Tuesday.
Have a lovely weekend pawb.
