Blwyddyn 4 have worked so hard this week to write their own versions of Alice in Wonderland. They have all written a five chapter story with new and exciting characters. Some of their descriptions have been amazing. They have also mastered adding two 4- digit numbers using the column method. This was more challenging that previously as there were two numbers that needed to be carried but by the end of the second lesson they had it mastered! #AmbitiousCapableLearners

They had another great swimming lesson and their teacher commented on what a lovely class they are 🥰🥰🥰 #HealthyConfidentIndividuals

We made a start planning our magnetism investigations so next week we will be carrying out the investigations to answer our enquiry questions. We had some fun this week using Sketch Up to create 3D models of Tudor houses so we will finish these off next week. We will then be creating a For Sale advert for the houses.  #AmbitiousCapableLearners

We will also be planning a Mad Hatters Tea Party, we will use a spreadsheet to choose what we need to order and stay within our budget while making sure that there is enough food for all guests. #EnterprisingCreativeContributors

We will finish off our work on rich and poor Tudors by writing a report comparing them.  Your homework this week is to complete a Venn diagram to compare rich and poor Tudors. You will need to use what we have learned and carry out some research about rich and poor Tudors to complete the Venn diagram by sticking the statements in the correct area. #EthicalInformedCitizens

Blwyddyn 4 have filled their marble jar so we will be having our reward next Friday afternoon. The pupils decided that they would like a mini disco in the hall. I will provide some drinks and sweets to enjoy while we are dancing. To really get into the party spirit the pupils can come to school dressed in their party clothes for the day of they wish (please make sure they are suitable for running around at playtime and lunchtime).

Have a lovely weekend,

Mrs Williams, Mrs Hughes and Mrs Probin
