Year 4: Weekly update

Blwyddyn 4 have earned themselves lots of marbles this week for their excellent attitude and effort in all that they have done. We are very proud of them and their efforts this week. Da iawn. CA7EA40054604052A8674B0A905BF57B.jpg

Next week we will continue to learn about Henry VIII, learning about his marriages and the fates of each wife. We will also continue to write newspaper reports detailing the events of The Battle of Bosworth. In art we will begin to design a chair for ether Henry VIII or Alice and our technology mission for the coming weeks will be to create a prototype chair before we create our final designs.

In literacy we will be telling the story of Alice in Wonderland as a story board. We will also be putting our French skills to the test as we will be writing and presenting short dialogues.

We will be putting our numeracy skills to the test by planning and budgeting for a tea party for six people and we’re looking forward to completing some more missions in the VIP room.

PE will be outdoor on Monday and indoor on Wednesday.

Reading books and homework are coming home today, please make sure that these are returned on Thursday next week. If your child is still reading their book then please do not worry, you are welcome to keep the book for as long as it is needed. Please just send in the blue reading record each Thursday so that we can check in and see how everyone is getting on with their book.

Homework is to carry out some research about different diseases and medicine in Tudor times.
