Today we have been celebrating Safer Internet Day. The message for 2024 is ‘Inspiring Change? making a difference, managing influence and navigating change online’.
Today we have been thinking about influencers online. We considered how they can influence people in a negative and positive way. Then we thought about Jesus and what kind of an influencer he would have been.
We also considered the persuasive design features that apps and companies use to influence us and how they can cause us to give up our time or money. We matched the design features to their definitions and the persuasive design effects. We were surprised by how easily these features can influence us.
