Year 3: Litter Picking

Our local area topic has come to an end, a topic Y3 enjoyed very much!
They learned a lot about our local area (Ruabon in-particular) and it also helped them recognise how special the village is to all of us and the importance of looking after it and keeping it tidy.
Pupils were delighted when I suggested we do a litter pick and today all of us explored the school grounds/ surrounding areas searching for litter. We found lots and they were very good at putting it in their bags using the picker and not touching it. Everywhere looks much tidier now.
Thank you Y3 for giving up your time to help make your local area a tidier and safer place for everybody who lives and works here. Da Iawn! Thanks also to Mrs Davies for giving us all of the equipment we needed 🙂
