We had great fun at Greenfield Valley yesterday! We went hunting for minibeasts and on a nature trail walk. We tried grass sweeping with big nets that we had to sweep in the grass and then tip it out into a white tray to see what bugs we had found.We looked under log piles and found a great crested newt. Ranger Doug told us how special it was, so we left it under the log where we found it to keep it safe.We went into the woods to go tree shaking. We had to put a white sheet down on the ground and then shake the tree branches to see what creatures fell out. We found lots of different bugs!
