Today the children are bringing home their reading books to practise their reading. We have been working hard on sounding out and blending the sounds when we get stuck! Please can books be returned on Monday.
Children also have a phonics mat (folded in half and in the front of the reading diary) to help them with their phonic sounds. Please can you spend just 5 minutes daily practising reading, writing and saying these sounds. This will help the children be able to apply this knowledge to their reading and writing tasks in school. This is an ongoing homework task so please don’t feel like you have to fit them all in this weekend as there are quite a lot of them!
Thank you very much for returning the Seesaw letters to school, as some children have told me they have lost theirs we have sent home another copy today, please can these be returned tomorrow.
