Reception: Weekly round up!

Well done Reception for getting back in the swing of things this week and working hard in Reception class.
We have loved exploring our new areas with a wintery feel….. the igloo, frozen characters and Arctic animals have been a real hit, with lots of lovely turn taking and imagination being fired up here.
We were really excited to play with the ‘snow’ in Welly Wednesday and thought of some fantastic words to describe how it felt.
Then Jack Frost came in the night and we loved looking at the frost on the yard outside. We read a story all about how the frost covers everywhere with pretty white patterns. ❄️❄️❄️
Next week, we will continue our Winter theme by finding out ways to keep warm and look after ourselves during the season. We will learn some Welsh words for warm clothes and will make patterns using winter objects. We will also do some exciting things with ice!! We just can’t wait. ☃️⛄
We are working hard with our letters and sounds. All children should have received a pack of letter sounds last term and it’s nice to see lots of children remembering their letters now. Here is a link to a couple of things you could look at to help practise our letter songs and sounding out 3 letter words.
