News: Mini Explorers wrap around care at St Mary’s

Mini Explorers is now fully registered and ready to open on the 8th of April 2024.  We can now offer parents the following options for child care:

Option 1 – At Mini World we only accept funding in full days 7.30am-5.30pm (10 hour sessions).  This care is available 51 weeks a year (only being closed bank holidays and a week at Christmas).  Nursery fees are £61 a day and £48 for a half day.  You can use your funded child care hours for any two days you require but you will need to pay for the additional 2.5 hours which are not funded and also any additional days.

Example: if you require three days this would be a total of £76.25

(Fees for 1 Full day £61 plus 2.5 additional hours £15.25 = £76.25)

Option 2 : Is to use our wrap around care Mini Explorers at St Mary’s school which runs 11.30am-2.50pm.  This is term time care only running 39 weeks a year.  For this service you can use your child care funded hours every day and with no additional cost.  If you are not entitled to child care funded hours you can also self fund these sessions £25 per session .

For example – if your child attends morning school nursery and finishes at 11.30am we can pick your child up and they can spend the rest of the day with us until 2.50pm. Using childcare funding offer or self fund at £25 per session.  Parents will need to provide a packed lunch for this option .

Option 3 : This is our new Flying start provision. This session will run 8.45am to 11.15am Monday to Friday term time only.  This session will only be available to eligible flying start children.

Child care funding

We also run a fully registered after school forest club Monday to Friday in Maes y Llan Forest School at the back of Miniworld nursery 3pm to 5.30pm term time.  Your child needs to be from reception age to apply for a space.  This is £12 per session .
