Our learning
All pupils have been working hard again this week. Some highlights have been writing the code to retell a story and celebrating European Day of Languages on Thursday. We also loved watching each others Bollywood themed dances that everyone has been working hard on over the last few weeks.
Next week we will continue with our topic of Journey’s. In RVE we will be considering religious journeys that people take. In humanities we will be planning a journey to India by air and by sea. We will use an atlas to find out what sea areas, countries and canals we travel over or through. In our literacy work we will start to read a new class book that focuses on a little boy and his exciting journey! In numeracy we will continue with our work on place value, adding and subtracting from four digit numbers.
Homework
Homework this week is reading books and a maths sheet based on the work that we have been doing in class this week. Please make sure that both of these are returned by Thursday. If your child is still reading their book then please make sure you send in the blue reading record with a comment from an adult to let us know how your child is getting on.
Reminders
PE is on Monday and Wednesday as usual next week. The photographer will be in school on Tuesday taking individual/sibling photographs. Please make sure that all pupils are in full uniform on this day.
Have a lovely weekend,
Mrs Williams, Mrs Keddie and Mrs Cheetham
