We appreciate that the works may cause some disruption around school drop-off and collection times. To help minimise this, the works have been programmed with restricted working hours of 9:00am to 3:00pm, avoiding the main morning drop-off period and aiming to reduce the impact around afternoon collection.
During the working hours, the affected section of road will be closed and parking will not be available within the works area. Access and egress will be maintained via Park Road.
Unfortunately, due to the volume of highway maintenance works required across the County Borough, it is not possible to undertake all resurfacing schemes during school holiday periods. The restricted working hours have therefore been put in place specifically to reduce the impact on the school as far as reasonably practicable.
