We have had an enjoyable first week back. We have been focusing on Bonfire Night this week. We have created posters to explain how to stay safe on Bonfire Night, we have created our own glittery firework pictures and yesterday we wrote an acrostic poem all about Bonfire Night.
Next week we will be focusing on Remembrance Day. We plan to use our acrostic poem skills again to complete a Remembrance day poem, we will be creating our own poppies and we will be learning why we have Remembrance day.
Also, just to let you know the week beginning Monday 16th November we will be starting our Muddy Monday sessions (Year 1’s version of Receptions Welly Wednesday). So on Monday 16th November, the children can come to school dressed for Muddy Monday in warm clothes that you do not mind getting muddy and wearing sensible footwear for the day as we will change into our wellies in the afternoon. Please could you send their wellies into school in a carrier bag on Monday 16th November (clearly marked with their name).
Have a lovely weekend.
