Today, we have been celebrating World Book Day. It was great to see so many pupils (and staff!) dressed in costume. Diolch yn fawr parents for your support – the children looked fantastic.
In Year 6, we thought about books that “mean the world to us.” We thought about books that we love and what makes them so special.
We also enjoyed using our problem solving and mathematical skills to begin solving the mystery of the World Book Day costume! #AmbitiousCapableLearners #EnterprisingCreativeContributors
After break, we returned to class to find it had been transformed! ‘Cafe Blwyddyn 6’ was a cafe with a difference – it only served books! We enjoyed having time to sample extracts from books on the menu.
We have also begun to create our very own book, titled ‘Cymru.’ We will work collaboratively to create a class non-fiction book, filled with information linked to our topic ‘Cymru.’ #EnterprisingCreativeContributors #EthicalInformedCitizens
