This week, Year 6 pupils have worked very hard in Maths, calculating missing angles in shapes such as triangle and quadrilaterals. They have used protractors and compasses with improved accuracy.

We drafted and edited an explanation text, explaining the events that led to World War II.

Our session with PC Hulley could not go ahead today, but will be rearranged for a future date.
Our plans for our Coronation Celebration are underway, and pupils are developing some impressive headwear designs.

Our cards of congratulations are ready to be sent to Y Cae Ras!
Next week
In Maths and Numeracy, we will be learning about ratio and proportion. We will begin our next Class Reader text, linked to our new topic. We will learn about the Blitz, carrying out comprehension activities, creating evacuation guides and composing music.
PE will be on Tuesday and Thursday next week. We will also be having an exciting session of hula hooping on Wednesday – there is no need for kit on this day, but sensible footwear would be great.

The Coronation of King Charles III
We will obviously be thinking and learning about the Coronation next week. We will create final headwear designs and will use these to make headwear. We will pray for King Charles in our worships and will hold a special celebration on Friday – please remember that you can come to school dressed in red, white and blue on Friday too.

Homework this week is on calculating the value of missing angles and is on paper. This is due in no later than next Thursday please. Thank you.
Have a fantastic bank holiday weekend!
