Year 6: Weekly round up

This week we have been working hard on our character studies of the story The Snow Spider. We have been hooked on the book since launch week and are looking forward to reading more next week. Next week we will be exploring similes and metaphors in preparation for our poems about Arianwen the spider.
Today, year 6 had another coding session where they created their own Welsh dragons which respond to different senses such as sound and touch, like a tamagotchi!
In maths, we have continued to focus on percentages and fractions. Next week we will be multiplying fractions and representing amounts as mixed numbers.
Next week: We are celebrating World Book Day on Monday the 11th of March where all pupils are invited to dress up as their favourite book character. On Friday the 15th of March, we are celebrating red nose day. Everyone is welcome to wear red.
P.E: Outdoor P.E kit is needed for next Thursday.
Homework: Spelling homework has been sent home today which is due next Thursday. Everyone has chosen their own spelling words from their Saesneg and Themau books to practice.
Eucharist: we have another Eucharist service on Tuesday at 2:15pm.
We hope you all have a lovely weekend.
Mrs Keddie and Mr Kennard.
