Year 6: This week and next

Pupils have worked hard this week. We have been particularly impressed with how well they have worked in Maths. They had an amazing PE session with Liam this week and got to play games with the Kinball.

They have also shown perseverance today, creating their sculptures, firstly using wire. It was a tricky task, but they are coming along great!

Next week, we will be thinking about our Christian value of Compassion. We will be visiting the prayer stations on Wednesday and having activities about compassion on Thursday, which will be our values day. We will think about how we can show compassion to ourselves and to others.

We will continue with our sculptures to show movement, adding paper mache and paint. We will be counting and saying our age in French.
We will be learning about our hearts and investigating what happens to our pulse rate as we exercise.
We will have PE on Tuesday only next week, as we will be visiting the prayer stations on Wednesday. Pupils will need to make sure they are dressed in outdoor kits please.
In Maths, we will be subtracting up to 7-digit numbers.
