Year 6: The week ahead

Here are some of the activities that we will be doing next week:
We will use our story writing skills to edit and improve our stories inspired by ‘The Photo Album.’ We will also have some publishing time, with pupils choosing which piece of writing they would like to publish – either their newspaper reports or their stories. Pupils have asked that our audience for our stories be an actual author! We will have to see what we can do!
We will be thinking more about plastic, thinking about the advantages and disadvantages of using plastic carrier bags and what alternatives we could use. We will start to think about the plants and animals of ‘Ein Byd’ too.
During our topic launch back in September, pupils suggested making things to sell. We have talked about making Christmas decorations, recycling items that we would have thrown away. Next week, we will think more about this and come up with lots of ideas.
We will continue to use different methods to solve multiplication methods.
SPECIAL NEWS! This week, we have received an email from the Community Council, letting us know that our proposal has been approved! We will be able to display our posters around the village. We will aim to get in touch with the printing company next week. We will keep you posted!
Please remember to return Reading Records on Monday and come to school dressed in PE kit on Tuesday.
Have a lovely weekend!
