Year 6: The Week Ahead

We have been impressed with Blwyddyn 6’s attitudes to learning again this week! They have written some fantastic stories which we will publish as a book for our School Library. They have used their Maths and Numeracy skills well, showing us how they can use mental and written methods to solve addition problems – da iawn Blwyddyn 6!
Next week, we will continue to find out about a natural disaster in the news. We will write diary entries, imagining that we were there when disaster struck.
We will move on to Algebra in Maths next week, solving problems by finding unknowns.
We will experiment further with line, shape and tone, this time sketches things we see around our School. We will also be thinking about Christian values and how these affect our lives.
It has been lovely reading all about your dream holiday destinations from all over the world. It has been so lovely that it has made me want to plan lots of future holidays! Your homework this week follows on from last week – please check our Google Classroom and look for the task ‘My Dream Holiday Destination 2.’ Please do let us know if you have trouble accessing this work too.
Reminders – Reading books (or at least the blue reading diaries) on Monday please and come to school dressed in PE kit on Thursday.
We hope that you have a lovely weekend.
Mrs Burgess, Mrs Bateman and Mr Kuiper.
