Year 6: The final week of term

We have had another enjoyable week in Blwyddyn 6. The pupils performed brilliantly for our dress rehearsal and both concerts. We were very proud of them, and their efforts certainly paid off!

Pupils have also published their stories this week, enhancing their final drafts with exciting sentences and lots of adventurous vocabulary. We look forward to putting all of the stories together in a book to be put in our school library in the new year.

We have also been busy rehearsing for our Christmas Church Service, which will take place at 9:30 on Monday morning. Please keep a look out for updates, as we will have to hold the service in school (without parents and friends sadly), should the weather be too cold and icy.

We completed our final landscape artwork this week, with a special painting of Ruabon Mountain. The pupil’s work is amazing, and they are looking forward to taking their final masterpieces home next week (I won’t post pictures, as it will spoil the surprise!)

Our Christmas craft has begun and will also continue next week. On Tuesday, we will hopefully be visiting Hafod House, to share some carols and Christmas songs with the residents. This will be a lovely experience and it will be a treat to reach out to those in our local community.

We look forward to a week of fun, games, and everything Christmas!
