Year 6: The end of the week/The week ahead

We have had another good week this week. We have enjoyed finding out about parts of circles and using compasses to draw them. We have also enjoyed using coordinates in four quadrants – homework this week is based on this skill and the pupils have taken home paper to do this on. This is due in by next Friday.
It has been lovely listening to pupils share their homework on welsh landscapes that they have worked on over the past two weeks. We have had a range of things presented – artwork, adobe creative web page presentations, models and fact pages – da iawn Blwyddyn 6.
We have been thinking about the people of Ukraine this week. We have created a window display of sunflowers, the national flower of Ukraine. We enjoyed singing a special song in our worship today too.

Next week, we will continue to read more of ,’The Snow Spider,’ creating a comic strip and writing an epilogue. We will be making our moving toys that we have designed this week as part of our Easter craft. We will move on to ratio and proportion in Maths and Numeracy.
We will have our last session of swimming on Friday.
