Year 6: Learning week beginning 18/1

Bore da.   I am so proud of you all and how hard you are working.  I also appreciate all the help from all the parents/grandparents who are supporting the learning too.  I am very pleased with Geography work which we have built up over 3 days this week.  You have all worked hard to include as much detail as possible. This week, our maths focus is multiplying. We will be recapping times tables, multiplying by doubling and multiplying by 1 and 2 digits.   Today our focus will be Alan Peat sentences, which we will be using tomorrow to write a diary entry using our Geography work from last week.  On Wednesday and Thursday, we will be looking at poems by Ted Hughes and then writing our own.  Our focus will be using similes, metaphors and personification.   On Friday, we will start our Science topic, Forces by writing what we know already. As usual, we are online to help you.  We are looking forward to seeing you work this week. Mrs Hodkinson, Mrs Leighton and Mrs Bateman. image-2.jpg
