Year 6: Happy half term!

We have come to the end of another half term and have almost completed our topic, ‘Symud.’ We have completed many activities this week, from using different subtraction methods in Maths, to “skiing” as a team across the playground!

We created some fantastic sculptures as a way of ‘capturing’ movement.

After half term, we will be launching our new topic – all will be revealed soon! We look forward to hearing the pupils’ ideas during our launch and seeing what they would like to learn about.

We also have lots to celebrate during our first week back – on Wednesday, March 1st, we will be celebrating St David’s Day. Pupils are invited to wear something red, or traditional Welsh costume. We will be performing during our school Eisteddfod and look forward to watching performances from all of the other classes too. We will also be creating art entries in class – winners will be announced in a celebration worship on Friday, 3rd March.

On Friday, 3rd March, we will be celebrating World Book Day by thinking about the books that “mean the world to us” and holding a class “Book Tasting” event. Pupils are welcome to dress in book-related costume on this day, if they so wish.

Pupils will need PE kit on Tuesday please. Reading books that have been returned to school have been sent home too. along with a Maths sheet for homework.
We would like to wish you all a lovely half term break and to congratulate all pupils of Blwyddyn 6 for their continued efforts this half term – da iawn pawb!
