Year 6: End of the week /The week ahead

It is the end of another week already – we can’t believe how quickly this term is going! Pupils have created some lovely work for Refugee Week. They have worked hard in Maths, doing some great work on probability at the end of the week.
The poems, using lighthouses as inspiration were lovely, including simile, metaphor, personification and imagery.
Next week, many pupils will be spending time at their future Secondary schools, with other pupils not visiting their schools until the following week. Details for transition, including dates and arrangements have been emailed previously.
On Monday, we will be holding our sports day, from 1:15pm – 2:45pm on the school field. We are looking forward to this event and have practised our skills again this week in preparation. Pupils will need to come to school dressed in PE kits please and trainers/pumps. If the weather is hot, sun lotion could be applied before school and pupils may need a sun hat and plenty of water. If the weather is rainy, we will have activities indoors for the pupils, but will sadly not have room for spectators. We look forward to a fun afternoon.

Have a lovely weekend everyone.
