We have had a good week in Blwyddyn 6. We have produced some beautiful descriptive poetry which is displayed on our wall.
We have enjoyed a workshop from Xplore Science, all about forces. We have enjoyed learning about shapes, naming them, listing their properties and learning about angles in quadrilaterals and triangles.
This week, homework is to continue with the homework set last week (2-week homework). Try to enjoy some sunshine this weekend too!
Next week, we will be continuing our work on shape, looking at parts of circles. We will also be reading and writing coordinates and using this skill in our topic work when we will be reading OS maps and planning a journey.
We will be reading more of ‘The Snow Spider’ and creating comic strips. In RE, we have found out about Solomon and the Temple. Next week, we will learn about the destruction of the temple and how people were in exile, linking this to thinking about refugees in our world right now.
We will begin Easter craft too, designing a moving toy and thinking about what materials and equipment we will need to make them.
Swimming will be on Friday. Please can pupils make sure that they are in outdoor PE kit i.e. tracksuit bottoms/leggings/ t shirt/ hoodie. Thank you.
Have a lovely weekend.
