Pupils have worked so hard this week. They have been busy finding percentages of different amounts and finding the link between fractions and percentages. They have carried out further research about Sir Isaac Newton and have presented their findings using ICT – their reports look great! We had another great session of swimming this morning – Mr Kuiper and I were really impressed with the progress they have made in just one week. Da iawn Blwyddyn 6. We are very proud of you.
Next week, we will continue to work on percentages in Maths, finding percentages of amounts of money, before moving on to multiplying and dividing fractions.
We will create PowerPoints, ready to share with other classes to introduce our New Curriculum Characters (more information in today’s newsletter).
Our Science and Technology focus will be on air resistance and water resistance.
Thursday will be values day and this time we will be thinking about Compassion. We will focus on the story of ‘The Good Samaritan,’ as well as using Jamboard to share our ideas about how we can show compassion to others and ourselves. We look forward to some value day craft too.
We are hoping to go out into Ruabon at some point next week, to display our posters from last term. Swimming will be on Friday again, so please do remember kit – what a great way to learn about water resistance too!
We hope that you all have a lovely weekend and look forward to seeing you all on Monday.
