Year 6: A great week/Next week

Pupils have continued to work hard in Year 6 this week. They have found out lots more about gravity and completed written explanations. They have also investigated friction by spinning coins on different surfaces. Next week, we will be finding out more about water and air resistance.

Next week, we will be taking part in an Athletics event at Plas Madoc (please refer to details already sent out by email). We look forward to continuing to be more active and hope to have lots of fun at this event. Pupils will need to be in full kit please and will also need PE kit on Wednesday too.

On Wednesday, we will be learning about Santes Dwynwen and celebrating Dydd Santes Dwynwen, sometimes referred to as Wales’ St. Valentine’s Day.

We will continue to develop our sketching skills, trying to capture movement. We will also be using our budgeting skills to find the best deal for a trip to Paris. We will use our work on finding percentages to help us work out costs after a discount is applied and see whether “special offers” are always what they seem!

Homework is on Google Classroom (unless pupils have requested paper) and is to read and answer questions about Sir Isaac Newton, the man that discovered gravity. Reading books have also been returned home – we thank parents for your support with reading and homework – diolch.
We wish you all a lovely weekend!
