Year 5: Week beginning 23 May

Bore da,
This week, we will be celebrating the Queen’s Jubilee.  Starting the week, we will look at why we are celebrating the Jubilee and the timeline of her life as Queen.  Following this, we will produce a fact page about all the special things she has done.  We will use this information to make a class piece of art which we call a ‘Talking Textile’.  We will be designing and making a plate to celebrate the Jubilee.  On Friday, we will have a Jubilee party (hopefully outside if the weather is nice).  In Maths, we will continue using a compass to draw a circle with a certain size radius and measure the circumference with string. P.E. will be on Tuesday as usual.  Swimming is on Thursday.  Please make sure reading books and homework (poster to celebrate the Jubilee – on paper) are due in on Wednesday.
I’m sure you will be all hoping Wrexham win today!  Good luck to them.
See you all in the morning,
Mrs Hodkinson, Mrs Hughes, Mrs Leighton and Mrs Edwards.
