Year 5: Week beginning 21 March

Pnawn da pawb.  Well done everyone for working hard last week.  We have had another week of putting lots of marbles in our jar.  I was very impressed with your persuasive letters explaining why Victorian children should not have to work.  Wednesday is our ‘Values Day’.  We will be thinking about forgiveness through the unforgiving servant.  As part of our topic ‘The Victorians’, each group in the class is named after a famous Victorian. This week, each group will begin to research about their famous Victorian, ready for writing a biography.  Our Maths focus continues from last week, comparing and simplifying fractions.  On Thursday, we will be imagining what it would be like in a Victorian school.  Friday, we will be playing with some Victorian toys/games and then comparing with toys and games today.  Please remember to bring in your reading books and homework (Maths on paper) tomorrow.  P.E. will be on Tuesday as usual.

See you all in the morning,

Mrs Hodkinson, Mrs Hughes, Mrs Leighton and Mrs Edwards.
