Year 5: Friday 11th October

Well done year 5! We have had another fantastic week.

In English we read the next two chapters of our class book. We then used our recipe from last week to write our own short story. We have also been looking at adverbs. I have explained that the adverb homework is 4 parts. I would like all pupils to complete both tasks from the first sheet, then the second sheet is optional.

In maths we have been looking at time. This is always a difficult topic so we will continue to focus on this for another week.

In themau we have moved to our next part of the topic which is about rivers. We used an atlas and google maps to add rivers to a map of Wales.

In RE on Monday we made Harvest banners and today we looked at what the word diocese means.

Pupils created some great work in science where we were learning about the sun rising and setting. We marked and observed how shadows change throughout the day.

In Welsh we read Wncwl Em and played a game to practise some of the new language from the book.

I hope that you all have a lovely weekend and I’ll see you all on Monday morning.
