Year 5: Becoming more independent learners

This week we have been talking about perseverance. We have started to watch the next Dojo Big Ideas series and have been discussing what it feels like to be ‘in the dip!’
Pupils have been set tasks for this morning and can manage their time to ensure all is completed and to a good standard.
They are completing their Glan Llyn recount before highlighting with pink to show what they’re proud of, then green to show where they could improve. They then use green pens to make improvements.
They have also got two problem solving activities which require them to use calculators.
Some groups have also been reading with myself and Mrs Edwards.
Here is an article I found which I found interesting, it might give you some ideas for home and make you see how your children are all doing amazingly well! https://www.cdc.gov/ncbddd/childdevelopment/positiveparenting/pdfs/middle-childhood-9-11-w-npa.pdf
